Real estate listings that had images that were shot with a DSLR compared to a point and shoot:
- Receive an average of 61% more views than their peers across all price tiers.
- Have a 47% higher asking price per square foot.
- Have an increased likelihood of selling for homes priced above $300,000.
Those are pretty powerful numbers. The Wall Street Journal said that in real estate, a picture is worth $1,000! “At the closing table, listings with nicer photos gain anywhere between $934 and $116,076–as measured by the difference between asking and final price–over listings using photos from point-and-click cameras. The data also showed that listings with nicer photos get more online attention. And yet, for all this, only 15% of listings incorporate higher-end photography. This is even true at the high-end. Redfin found that more than half of $1 million-plus listings were shot with low-end cameras.”
I am currently looking for home stagers and realtors in the Charlotte, NC area to partner with to make this happen. With the market the way it is, people that are trying to sell their homes deserve to have the best chance to sell their homes for what it is worth. I want to make that happen.
