The Wristbands

I know you’ve all seen them.  I’ve had many people ask me, why I wear them and what they mean.  This post is going to be about my wristbands! 🙂

These wristbands have almost never left my wrists in years.  I can’t think of the last time they’ve came off.  I sleep in them, wear them out, I even wore one of them in my wedding! Anyone who has had a shoot with me has seen them, and hopefully all of you will soon!

The white one is for one.org.  It is my personal reminder that poverty still exists, and I need to do everything I can to help.  Its my ongoing fight to stop that.  I fully support their cause and it also serves as a reminder to me that no matter how bad I think I have it, I am extremely lucky. I wore this one at my wedding and have worn it for probably 5 years.  Which is why you see it falling apart in the picture. 🙂

The green one is for organ donors.  It says DONATE LIFE on it and I wear it because I am an organ donor and I believe that everyone should be.  Organ donation saves many lives and is one of the most amazing things that we all can do, and its completely free.  ANYONE can do it!

The orange one is for a Tea for Tots program that McAlister’s Deli did.  It is in support of Levine’s Childrens Hospital here in Charlotte.  My wife works there, and I truly love supporting places like that.  My heart breaks every time a kid suffers and I can think of no better cause than supporting a place that tries their best to heal them.

On another note, I went to my favorite sandwich place yesterday, McAlister’s Deli.  Known for their absolutely amazing sweet tea, and I ordered an unsweetened tea!  I still can’t believe I was able to do it, but heres the receipt to prove it!

I was there meeting Scarlett about my new website and the meeting was absolutely amazing!  I am so flipping excited about this new website that I can’t stand it!

I hope you all have the most amazing Wednesday possible!  I’m headed out to start week 2 of couch to 5k today, wish me luck!
